Basic first aid tips 

What should consist in a first aid box 

- Adhesive bandages - Antiseptic Wipes 

- Sterile gloves - Gauze pads and tape 

- Blue Plasters -Scissors+ Tweezers 

-Instant cold packs - Burn Gel

- Alcohol Wipes - Bandages 

- Cotton wool

- For cuts and scrapes, clean the area thoroughly with water then apply a bandage/plaster 

-If someone is choking to encourage the person to cough this will remove the substance, if this does not work preform the Heimlich manoeuvre

- If someone gets a minor burn, place the injured area under cool water for 10 minutes, do not pop blisters 

- Hypothermia- remove any wet clothing and cover them with blankets 

- For severe bleeding, apply pressure to the wound with a clean cloth 

- If someone is having an allergic reaction use an Epipen if available and call emergency services immediately 

- If someone is not responding or not breathing start CPR, cardiopulmonary resuscitation
